If you have any aptitude for flexibility, start to bend and do somersaults
in mid-air because this is the year to hone those abilities. There
will be many opportunities to challenge the notion that you're stubborn,
so look toward the year 2000 with the idea that you can adapt when
necessary. Think: Changes are possible. You will feel most comfortable
with yourself and the world around you when the Sun and Saturn are
aligned in your sign around your birthday. This certainly does not
mean things won't be going your way the rest of the year, but you
can feel confident that around the time of the Taurus Sun, you'll
be sitting pretty. Money will be an issue for you this year; the old
adage, "take only what you need" is very appropriate. Don't plan on
spending your hard-earned money on extravagant knickknacks. There
will be time for that later, but you need to concentrate on spending
wisely in the year 2000.

You enter the year 2000 in the mood for love, Taurus. People of all
different shapes and sizes look good to you. You may find your tall
dark and handsome in someone you once thought you would never have
been attracted to. Others are magnetized to you, and you have the
opportunity to select your suitor. Sweet romance in the stars keeps
you smiling even when there is no one around -- love in your system
can do that to you. Venus, the Planet of Love, is traveling through
your sector of foreign affairs. Single? You'll have many possibilities
for romance in far off lands. Don't spend too much time alone in your
hotel if you find yourself traveling this year -- keep your eyes open
for someone who is keeping a doting eye on you. A simple adoration
can become a sizzling love affair around August when Venus shines
brightly. The intensity in a relationship skyrockets, and by October
the situation is full of lust and sensual pleasures.
You have your eye on many shiny jewels out there, Taurus, but you
will have to be realistic if you think that you can afford everything
that catches your eye. The year 2000 is about checks and balances
for you. You will continuously need to check your financial resources
before you spend money on lavishness. Money and possessions will be
at the forefront of your mind. This is especially true in May, when
the planets will be aligned for you. This means you will relate to
material possessions and be inclined to spend your money wildly. You
could fool yourself into thinking that having that big, fancy thing-ama-jig
will make you feel satisfied. In a short time, your new acquisition
won't be so shiny and the bill for it will have to be paid. When considering
a big purchase this year, think about the future effects it may have
on your wallet.
From the start of the new year, you daydream about changing careers.
You become easily envious when others tell you about their jobs --
the grass is beginning to look greener for everyone but you. If you
feel you are really ready for a change in your professional life,
you will have to make the change slowly, Taurus. Unless you feel completely
comfortable with your savings, don't think about quitting your job
without having another one lined up -- the instability will drive
you mad. You need security with your job at the same time that you
want to be jumping into something else. Consider a little research:
It's a good idea to have "informational interviews" with people who
have jobs you think you would like. Find out all the perks and drawbacks
of that job, then find out what requirements you need to be considered.
Have a plan that is going to support you -- for example, take a night
course. Whatever you do, be cautious and take it slowly.
You won't have to wait long for the chemistry to heat up with romances
that begin at the onset of the new millennium. By the end of March,
Mars, the Planet of Passion, moves into your sign. This will be a
very sensual time for you. Lucky for you, this will continue on through
May. Taurus is a very kinesthetic sign -- Bulls love to touch and
be touched. Don't pass up an opportunity for an intimate romantic
getaway. Caressing and cuddling satisfy so many of your needs. The
passion planet moves into your sector of romance in September, staying
through November. Combine the components of sex and romance and let
the fireworks begin. The excitement won't subside and you can count
on staying warm throughout December. The stars suggest some sweet
and sexy loving for you this year.
You may be so busy with your social and romantic life at the beginning
of the year that your family matters take a back seat. You don't worry
much about stepping on family members' feet, and you don't need to;
the waters seem to be calm around the family tree. Midyear, someone
in your family needs your attention, but they are coy in letting you
know. They may be testing you, so you need to be sure your eyes and
ears are open to the slightest yelp for help. As the family comes
together in June, you'll find that spending time together will help
to remedy any rifts that you have had in the past. Siblings will be
especially supportive around this time.
Friends surround you with celebrations and fanciful affairs to start
the millennium off right. You're always quick to assist your pals,
and they're ready to return the favor by offering you strong support
and dependability. If you're trying to make a few changes in your
life this year, your friends could have some suggestions for you.
Listen closely, especially to your older friends who may have a better
perspective on the big picture. During March and April, a friend may
introduce you to a potential partner or lover, so accept all social
invitations. If you're not hitched up, you should not be shy about
attending a party alone. There are many possibilities for matchmaking
in social scenes. If you have a project that's been in the back of
your mind, team up with some creative friends in September, October
and November and set your plans into action .
Advertisements to exotic lands might interest you at first, but it
is more likely that you will feel most satisfied sticking closer to
home this year. This could be the year when you start to look into
an across-the-globe journey for an adventure next year. This year,
though, it is best to stick with what you know and places where you
feel most comfortable. When you feel the urge to get away from it
all, a short trip may be all you need. How about virtual travel this
millennium? If you stay comfy in your cave for the first half of the
year, push yourself out and take a short trip in July just to get
